I STRONGLY RECOMMEND A FLY: A fly extends the life of your tent.
If you are a hunter and are in the woods for extended periods, I RECOMMEND YOU BUY A WALL TENT FLY or some type of very heavy-duty poly tarp to protect your tent’s roof. Additionally, there are thousands and thousands of needle holes in your roof. Ordinarily, those needle holes will close up when dousing your tent with water when you shrink the tent. However, sometimes there are needle holes that don't close up. It is best to buy a fly or heavy tarp so you don't have surprise leaks during hunting camp.
There is no guarantee on the fly in windy conditions. There is no fly made that can withstand normal fly placement on a tent in windy conditions. During windy conditions, take the tent fly cover down to prevent wind from getting under the fly. A camping fly flapping in the wind will tear out the grommets and eventually tear the fly to shreds.
A fly offers an extra level of protection from the elements, sparks from fires and stoves, UV rays, dirt, and pitch and tar from trees.

No, unless you’re using this wall tent fly with a tent that happens to have a stove jack opening in the exact same location, it’s not compatible with other tent brands.
The package comes with 200 feet of rope and 20 tensioners for securing the fly to your tent. There are grommets on each ridge end and D-rings on the sides.
The camping fly provides an additional 8-12 inches of overhang past each sidewall, significantly reducing the chances of water and snow entering your tent. A tent fly cover is a must-use accessory in rainy and snowy environments!
