Frequently Asked Questions

Is the 6' side wall option available for your glamping tents for sale?

  1. YES. 6' side walls provide much more usable space in a glamper tent. 5-foot side walls prevent a person from getting close to the side walls.
  1. Glamping wall tent with 6' side walls immediately offers a visually more luxurious appearance to guests when entering compared to a tent with lower walls. It is similar to entering a house with 8' ceilings compared to a more luxurious house with 10' ceilings.
  1. Most of my resort customers are now buying the 6-foot side wall luxury tents.

What are the features of glamping tents?

A canvas glamping tent is a specifically designed tent that embodies the concept of glamping, which is a luxurious and glamorous approach to camping. Unlike traditional camping tents, which are often basic and utilitarian, glamping tents are crafted to offer a more comfortable, stylish, and convenient camping experience.

Here are some key features and details of these tents:

  1. Size and Structure: Glamping tents are typically larger than standard camping tents, providing more interior space for comfortable living and furniture.
  1. Materials: Glamper tents are often made from high-quality, durable materials such as canvas or synthetic fabrics. The materials used are chosen not only for their durability but also for their ability to create a cozy and inviting atmosphere inside the tent.
  1. Interior Furnishings: The interior of glamping tents can be furnished with comfortable and sometimes luxurious items. This may include real beds with quality mattresses, high-thread-count linens, bedside tables, rugs, and other furnishings to create a homely feel.
  1. Amenities: Luxury tents may include amenities not commonly found in traditional camping, such as electricity, lighting fixtures, and even heating or air conditioning.
  1. Decor: Attention is given to the interior decor. Decorative elements like throw pillows, wall art, and ambient lighting are often included to enhance the overall aesthetic.
  1. Outdoor Living Space: Many glamping tents for sale feature an outdoor living space, such as a deck or porch, where guests can relax and enjoy the natural surroundings.
  1. Location: Glamping sites are often set in scenic locations, such as forests, mountains, or near bodies of water, providing a connection with nature while offering a luxurious retreat.
  1. Privacy: While traditional camping often involves close proximity to neighboring tents, glamp tents are sometimes spaced apart to offer a more private and exclusive experience.
  1. Customization: Glamp tents can be customized to cater to specific themes or preferences, allowing for a unique and personalized camping experience.

In summary, a glamping tent is a carefully designed and well-appointed shelter that transforms the camping experience into a luxurious and comfortable retreat, allowing individuals to enjoy the beauty of nature without sacrificing modern comforts.

Should I choose canvas or synthetic material for glamping tents for sale?

Canvas tents and synthetic tents each have their own set of advantages, and the choice between them depends on various factors, including personal preferences, intended use, and specific camping conditions. Here are some advantages of canvas tents:

  1. Breathability: Canvas is a breathable material, allowing air to circulate inside the tent. This can help regulate temperature and reduce condensation, providing a more comfortable camping experience.
  1. Durability: Canvas is known for its durability and strength. It can withstand rough weather conditions, resist tearing, and hold up well over time. With proper care, canvas glamping tents can have a longer lifespan compared to synthetic materials.
  1. Insulation: Canvas provides natural insulation, helping to keep the interior cooler in hot weather and warmer in cold conditions. This can contribute to a more comfortable and temperature-regulated camping environment.
  1. Weather Resistance: Canvas can be treated to enhance its water resistance. A well-made canvas glamper tent can effectively shed water and provide adequate protection in various weather conditions.
  1. Natural Aesthetics: Canvas has a classic and natural appearance that many campers find appealing. It can blend well with outdoor environments and provides a traditional camping feel.
  1. Repairability: Our canvas glamping tents for sale are easier to repair than those made from synthetic materials. Tears or punctures can be patched up with canvas repair kits, allowing users to extend the lifespan of their tents with simple DIY fixes.
  1. UV Resistance: Canvas tends to be more resistant to UV rays than some synthetic materials, which can degrade over time with prolonged sun exposure.
  1. Less Condensation: The breathable nature of canvas reduces the likelihood of condensation inside the luxury tent. This is particularly beneficial in colder weather when condensation can be a common issue in synthetic tents.
  1. Natural Feel: Many campers appreciate the natural, cozy feel of sleeping in canvas glamping tents. The fabric has a tactile quality that some find more comfortable than synthetic alternatives.
  1. Environmentally Friendly: Canvas is often considered more environmentally friendly than synthetic materials.

Synthetic tents, typically made from materials like nylon or polyester, may offer advantages in terms of weight and quick-drying capabilities. The choice between canvas and synthetic glamper tents ultimately depends on individual preferences, camping needs, and the specific conditions in which the tent will be used.

Canvas wall tent design vs bell glamping tent shape?

The choice between a glamping canvas wall tent shape and a bell tent ultimately depends on your preferences, needs, and the specific experience you're seeking. Here are some advantages of canvas glamping tents over a bell tent:

  1. More Interior Space: Canvas wall tents have straighter walls and a higher peak, providing more usable interior space. If you prioritize a spacious and open feel inside the tent, a canvas wall tent might be a better choice.
  1. Modularity and Customization: Canvas wall tents are designed to be sturdy and durable, making them suitable for various weather conditions. If you anticipate camping in locations with strong winds or inclement weather, the sturdier design of a canvas wall luxury tent may be an advantage.
  1. Heating Options: Canvas wall glamping tents for sale are often equipped with stove jacks, allowing for the installation of wood-burning stoves. If you plan to camp in colder climates and want the option of a warm interior, a canvas wall tent with a stove is a practical choice.
  1. Durability and Longevity: Canvas, as a material, is known for its durability and longevity. Canvas wall tents are often made of high-quality materials that can withstand extended use and exposure to the elements.
  1. Ventilation Control: Canvas wall tents may have more options for adjustable ventilation, with windows and vents strategically placed. This can be beneficial in regulating temperature and reducing condensation inside the glamper tent.
  1. Extended Stays: Due to their durability, spaciousness, and the ability to easily install tent stoves, canvas wall glamping tents are often well-suited for extended camping or glamping stays. If you plan to stay for longer durations, a canvas wall tent might provide a more comfortable and reliable shelter.

It's important to consider your specific camping or glamping needs, the environment you'll be in, and your preferences for space and amenities. Bell tents are popular for their simplicity and ease of setup. If those factors align with your priorities, a bell tent may be a suitable choice as well. Ultimately, both types of tents offer unique benefits, and the best choice depends on your individual preferences and requirements.

What should I know about the platforms for your glamping tents for sale?

Setting up a glamping tent on a platform involves considering various factors to ensure a comfortable and safe experience for guests. Here are some major factors to consider:

  1. View Recommendations: I strongly recommend you view platform recommendations. The recommendations are for the actual construction of platforms.
  1. Stability and Support: Ensure the platform is stable and can support the weight of the glamping tent, furnishings, and occupants. Use durable materials for the platform construction to withstand weather conditions and wear over time.
  1. Leveling: The platform for the luxury tent should be level to provide a stable and comfortable sleeping surface. Uneven surfaces can lead to discomfort and potential safety hazards.
  1. Weather Resistance: Choose materials that are weather-resistant and can withstand exposure to rain, wind, and sunlight. Consider adding a waterproofing layer to protect the platform and the tent from moisture.
  1. Ventilation: Design the platform to allow for proper ventilation beneath the glamping tent to prevent condensation and improve airflow.
  1. Accessibility: Ensure the platform is easily accessible for guests, taking into account factors like slope, stairs, and pathways.
  1. Aesthetics: Consider the overall aesthetics of the glamping site. The platform design should complement the natural surroundings and contribute to the overall ambiance.
  1. Durability: Use high-quality and durable materials for the platform to withstand regular use and potential impacts.
  1. Size and Configuration: Determine the appropriate size and configuration of the platform based on the glamper tent’s size and the number of occupants. It should provide enough space for comfortable living and movement.
  1. Local Regulations: If using any of our canvas glamping tents for sale in a city, check local regulations and building codes to ensure compliance with any restrictions or requirements related to platform construction.
  1. Environmental Impact: Minimize the environmental impact by choosing eco-friendly materials and construction methods. Consider the long-term sustainability of the platform.

What are the factors to consider when purchasing a glamping tent?

  1. Budget: Set a budget for your luxury tent purchase. Consider your budget constraints and find the best value for your money.
  1. Company Reputation and Reviews: Research the reputation of the company. Read customer reviews.
  1. Warranty and Customer Support: Check the warranty offered by the manufacturer and the availability of customer support.
  1. Size and Capacity: Determine the size of the tent based on the number of people it needs to accommodate. Ensure there is enough space for sleeping and storing gear.
  1. Canvas Material: Check the quality and type of canvas used. Cotton canvas is popular for its breathability and durability.
  1. Fireproofing and Waterproofing: Ensure that canvas glamping tents are, at the minimum, treated for water resistance and mildew resistance.
  1. Ease of Setup and Portability: Consider how easy the glamper tent is to set up.
  1. Durability: Assess the overall construction quality, including the strength of the poles, quality of stitching, and durability of zippers.

How do I determine what size of glamping tent to buy?

Choosing the right size of the many canvas glamping tents for sale involves considering various factors to ensure comfort, functionality, and a luxurious camping experience. Here are important considerations when selecting the size of your canvas glamping tent:

  1. Number of Occupants: Detailed info at tent size vs sleeping capacity.

The best way to determine your glamper tent size requirement is to put all the items you plan to put in your luxury tent inside a garage or on a driveway in a rectangular configuration. Place items appropriately to allow proper spacing. Draw a box around your items and determine the tent size requirements, and make adjustments to fit in standard-size glamping tents. If you plan on 5' side walls, remember you will not be able to stand within 18-24 inches from the side wall if you are 6' tall.

Glamping tents often offer more space than traditional camping tents. Ensure there is both sufficient sleeping capacity for your group and all the luxury camping items inside.
  1. Room for Furniture: Plan for the furniture and amenities you want to include in the tent, such as comfortable beds, chairs, tables, and possibly additional furnishings. Make sure there's enough space for these items without feeling cramped.
  1. Side Wall and Peak Height: Check the wall and peak height of the glamping tent. Side wall height determines how much space can be used when standing, and peak height. A higher peak height can make the tent feel more spacious.
Higher ceilings not only provide a more spacious feel but also allow for standing and moving around comfortably inside the tent.
  1. Windows and Screen Doors: Consider the tent's ventilation and climate control features. Proper airflow and ventilation are crucial for comfort, especially in varying weather conditions.
  1. Interior layout: Check the interior layout of the tent. Some of the glamping tents for sale provide a more comfortable and organized space. Evaluate whether the tent ground shape and size suit your preferences.
  1. Porch or Cooking Area: Evaluate if the glamper tent includes outdoor living space, such as a porch or covered area. Outdoor spaces enhance the experience of camping in a luxury tent, providing a comfortable spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
  1. Season and Weather: Consider the season and weather conditions. If you're camping in colder weather, you may want a larger tent to accommodate additional gear and stove.
  1. Ease of Setup and Portability: Larger glamping tents often require more effort to set up. If you are glamping alone or prefer a quick setup, you might want a smaller tent. Some glamping tents are designed for quick assembly, while others may be more suitable for semi-permanent setups.
  1. Plan for Growth: If you anticipate using the glamping tent for larger groups or events, consider choosing a tent with a bit more capacity than your current needs.

When will my glamping tent ship?

  1. 1-3 Days normally.
  2. The ship date provided for glamping tents during your order is guaranteed. We do not have the 2–6-week ship date delay from the day of ordering compared to most tent companies.
  3. We maintain a large inventory to allow us to ship 1-3 days after purchase. We normally have 1000 to 1500 tents in stock, so most orders can ship the next day.

Do you have glamping tents for sale with sewn-in floors?

  1. The Montana has the option of a sewn-in floor or a loose floor.
  2. All Selkirk spikes have only a sewn-in floor.
  3. The Wilderness tents do not have sewn-in floors. Stake-in floor is available.

Is it difficult to set up a glamper tent using the lodge pole frame?

Setting up a lodgepole frame for a canvas glamping tent can be a challenging task due to several factors. Here are some of the difficulties you may encounter:

  1. Size and Weight of Poles: Lodgepole frames are often made of sturdy and sizable wooden poles. Handling and maneuvering these heavy poles, especially if they are long, can be physically demanding. Transporting them to the camping site may require additional equipment or assistance.
  1. Assembly Complexity: Setting up a luxury tent with a lodgepole frame can be more complex than assembling a tent with collapsible poles. It typically involves connecting multiple pieces in a specific order, and precise alignment is crucial for stability. If the assembly process for these glamping tents for sale is not well understood or lacks clear instructions, it can be time-consuming and challenging.
  1. Weather Conditions: The type of ground where you're setting up the tent matters. Soft or uneven terrain can make it difficult to ensure that the lodgepole frame is securely anchored. Finding a level and stable spot for the tent becomes essential, and adjustments may be needed to accommodate different ground conditions.
  1. Coordination and Assistance: Erecting a lodgepole frame often requires coordination and assistance. Maneuvering and securing long poles into position may be a two-person or more job. Lack of coordination or assistance can slow down the process of setting up glamping tents and increase the likelihood of errors.
  1. Experience and Skill Level: Setting up a lodgepole frame glamper tent is more complex than assembling other types of tents. Experience and familiarity with the assembly process, including understanding how the poles connect and support the luxury tent, are crucial. Novices may find the initial setup challenging.
  1. Storage and Transportation: Disassembled lodgepole frames can be long and may not fit easily into standard vehicles. Planning for transportation and storage of the frame components is important, especially if the camping site is not easily accessible.
  1. Safety Concerns: Handling large, heavy poles and setting up a tent frame can pose safety risks. Incorrect assembly or mishandling of the lodgepole frame may result in injuries. Following safety guidelines, using proper equipment, and exercising caution during the assembly process are crucial.
  1. Compatibility Issues: Ensuring that the lodgepole frame is specifically designed for the canvas glamping tent is essential. Mismatched components or an improper fit can lead to structural instability, compromising the overall integrity of the tent.
  1. Regulatory Compliance: Some locations may have regulations or permit requirements for setting up temporary structures like the canvas glamping tents for sale. Failing to comply with these regulations can result in legal issues and may limit your ability to set up the glamper tent in certain areas.

By being aware of these difficulties and taking appropriate measures to address them. Such as planning, having the right equipment, and seeking assistance if needed. You can improve the likelihood of a successful lodgepole frame setup for your canvas glamping tent.

What are the benefits of camping in a top-quality glamping tent?

Glamping combines the best of both worlds: the luxury and comfort of a hotel with the beauty and serenity of nature. Being in a glamping tent can evoke a unique and delightful sense of comfort. Here are some reasons why you should choose a luxury tent:

  1. Cozy Atmosphere: Glamping tents are designed with a focus on creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The interiors are furnished with comfortable bedding, rugs, and sometimes even furniture that can make you feel right at home.
  1. Connection with Nature: While enjoying the comforts of a well-appointed tent, you're still immersed in the natural surroundings. The sounds of nature, the fresh air, and the proximity to the outdoors contribute to a feeling of tranquility and relaxation.
  1. Luxurious Amenities: Glamping tents often come equipped with amenities that go beyond traditional camping. This may include a comfortable bed, electricity, and sometimes even a private bathroom. These luxurious touches enhance the overall comfort of the experience of staying in a glamper tent.
  1. Privacy: Unlike crowded campgrounds, glamping sites usually offer more privacy. The secluded nature of many glamping locations allows you to enjoy your surroundings without the distractions of a large group.
  1. Scenic views: Tents are often strategically placed to provide stunning views of the natural landscape. Waking up to a picturesque sunrise or falling asleep under a sky full of stars contributes to a sense of wonder and contentment.
  1. Unique Experience: The novelty of staying in these glamping tents for sale can contribute to a feeling of comfort. It's a departure from the ordinary, allowing you to enjoy the beauty of nature without sacrificing the comforts you appreciate in your day-to-day life.
  1. Relaxation and Unplugging: Glamping in a luxury tent encourages a break from the fast-paced, technology-driven world. Being away from the constant hum of city life and having limited connectivity can contribute to a sense of relaxation and peace.
  1. Campfire Atmosphere: Many glamping sites offer the experience of a campfire, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Sitting around a fire, roasting marshmallows, and sharing stories can foster a feeling of community and coziness.

In essence, the feeling of comfort in a glamping tent is a harmonious blend of luxurious amenities, the beauty of nature, and the simplicity of a camping experience. A glamper tent allows you to enjoy the great outdoors without sacrificing the comforts you value.

Angle Kit

Angle kits are available to make your own steel conduit frames to reduce your glamp tent costs. Normal savings for making a conduit frame are $250-$400, depending on the size of the tent. We provide the cut list, and then the customer cuts the conduit. It normally takes about 1 1/2 hours to cut the frame. For more information, click angle kits.

These canvas luxury tents are available for both the resort owner and the private individual. We specialize in custom canvas glamping tents that can meet almost any requirement.

12x14 Luxury Tent with Extended Fly

Extended 8' Fly

Adding an extended 8' fly/tarp to the front of the glamper tent makes a well-shaded porch area for your guests.

The 8' extended fly is the most popular option requested. Extended fly allows guests to sit outside, protected from the sun and rain, to better enjoy their glamping experience.

Lodge Pole Set Up

Lodge Pole Set Up

Some of our best glamping tent pictures are with the lodge pole set up. Lodge poles provide a rustic look. If you need assistance with determining lodge pole lengths, contact us.

Both the Wilderness and Montana glamping tents for sale have a 6" opening just below the ridge on both ends to allow use for a lodge pole frame as depicted in several of the photos. If you are having difficulty determining which glamping tent to buy, call us. We will go over in detail our Wilderness and Montana models.

Glamping Tent Accessories

Glamping Tent Stoves

Tent Stoves are available in 12 different models if winter camping is planned.

The stove spark arrestor located at the top of your stove pipe will eventually become clogged with soot and ash. When purchasing a glamper tent, I strongly recommend you also purchase an in-line spark arrestor, which is located between your stove and the first section of stove pipe.

The in-line spark arrestor catches most of your soot and ash before they go up the stove pipe, which causes the top section of your pipe to eventually become clogged. Additionally, the pull-out screen in the glamping tents’ in-line spark arrestor is much easier to clean than taking down all your stove pipe to clean the spark arrestor on the top section of the stove pipe.

The optimum method of cleaning the in-line spark arrestor screen is daily. You need to check your normal spark arrestor on the top section of your pipe every day. By checking every day, you will not have to be concerned about a clogged spark arrestor during the night, which will fill the luxury tent with smoke very quickly.
