- Tent frame angle
kits can be ordered the day Wilderness, Civil War, and Montana Canvas
Tents are ordered. Wilderness,

- Hunter tent frame angle kit will have a 4-way
angle at the front ridge, upon request, to allow you to extend
a pipe for an awning. If 4-way on front ridge is not requested, a normal
3-way angle will be provided.
- Scroll to bottom of page to see angle kit joints diagram.
HUNTER 120º ANGLE JOINTS ARE IN STOCK,
WHICH ARE ZINC COATED, AND CAN SHIP NEXT BUSINESS DAY. MANY 12', 14',
15', 16' & 18'
WIDE TENTS REQUIRE THE 120º ANGLE JOINTS.
Purchasing angle kits and then purchasing
1 inside diameter, thin walled, electrical conduit ( 1 3/8" outside diameter) at a
local hardware store is the most economical approach to purchasing
an internal frame. Internal frame shipping charges are very
high due to the weight of an internal frame. I will provide
assistance if you have trouble understanding angle kit instructions.
Typical savings using an angle kit on a 12x14 internal frame
is $140.00.
Frames made of conduit are not as strong as regular steel frames. A maximum
distance of 6' is recommended between rafters. More than 6' causes a sag in
the roof and significantly reduces snow load carrying capacity. The table below
gives recommended rafter requirements for different lengths of tents. If you
expect heavy snow loads add one additional rafter length to your joint angle
kit purchase. The additional rafter significantly increases the strength of
your internal frame.
RECOMMENDATION: After making your frame I recommend you wet
down your new tent. When wetting your tent for shrinkage, and also when it
rains/snows, insure that you have guy ropes/side ropes and wall stakes on your
new wall tent to insure it only shrinks the normal 1-3% shrinkage and that
it shrinks evenly. Otherwise it may shrink more than 3% and unevenly and may
not fit your internal frame properly.

ADJUSTABLE ANGLE
KITS - Steel or Aluminum Models
Aluminum angles ship in 1
to 2 business days
- Ship date is1 to 2 business days after order is received.
- Adjustable aluminum angles come with two adjustments to
fit Outfitter or Blend tents.
- If your tent has a different angle requirement you can
drill a hole in the angle adjustment and insert locking pin.
- Aluminum angles only have a 1" overlap with conduit on all horizontal
frame poles and a 3" overlap with rafters. The 1" overlap on
horizontal frame sections makes setting up the tent difficult. I
recommend the steel adjustable angle.
- Adjustable steel angles with wing nut.
- Adjust angle and tighten wing nut to fit any tent.
- Steel angles
have a 3" overlap on horizontals and rafters.
- Click to enlarge each adjustable angle shown below.
