CANVAS CAMPING TENT

Hunter canvas camping tents will normally be shipped 1 - 5 business days after purchase.

HUNTER Canvas Camping Tent is made of Sunforger treated, "Army Duck-Double Fill". High quality canvas tents.

Click Wall Tents to view 6 other tents models.

Warranty: Hunter Canvas Camping Tent warrants to the original purchaser its wall tents to be free of defects in material and workmanship. Any returns must have prior authorization and freight prepaid. Hunter canvas camping tents will be repaired or replaced at our discretion when returned to us. Hunter Canvas Camping Tent makes no other warranty whether expressed or implied and shall not be liable for damages resulting from use or other outside forces beyond our control.

Ange kits: Purchasing angle kits and then purchasing 1” inside diameter, thin walled, electrical conduit (slightly less than 1 1/4 " outside diameter) at a local hardware store is the most economical approach to purchasing an internal frame. Internal frame shipping charges are very high due to the weight of an internal frame. I will provide assistance if you have trouble understanding angle kit instructions. Typical frame savings using an angle kit on a 12x14 internal frame is $200. For more info go to Angle Kit page.

Frames designed specificly for Hunter canvas camping tents are at the bottom of this webpage. Other types of frames are available at Wall Tent Frames.

DouARMY DUCK - DOUBLE FILL QUALITY

  • Hunter canvas camping tents are made of 10.1 oz "Double Fill" cotton - Army Duck.
  • Two threads are twisted together to make one single thread making it stronger and more durable. These double threads are woven both crosswise and lengthwise in the canvas.
  • Stronger and more durable than other canvas material.
  • Makes a much tighter weave.
  • Keeps moisture out and heat in better than other canvas.

WALL TENT CANVAS AVAILABLE

  • 10 oz Army Duck Double Fill- Untreated: Untreated and water repellant but not treated for water or mildew resistance.
  • 10.1 oz Army Duck Double Fill Sunforger: Treated twice for water and mildew resistance. Will not shrink more than 3%.
  • 10.1 oz Army Duck Double Fill Sunforger Fire Resistant: Same as above but treated to resist fire. This canvas camping tent will only burn if there is a continuous flame against the wall. If you remove the flame source the tent will stop burning.

CANVAS CAMPING TENT CHARACTERISTICS - ALL THREE MODELS

  • Made in USA with quality canvas.
  • Double stitched for extra strength.
  • Welded seams on slope at end of tent and on corners. 3 layers of canvas rolled over and stitched for extra strength.
  • Colors: White only.
  • Stove jack location and 4", 5" or 6" pipe opening - determined by customer.
  • Stove jack sizes are actually 3/4" larger than listed to allow for nesting stove pipe. Nesting stove pipe has smaller to larger pipe size from stove opening.
  • Stove jack has flap with ties.
  • Tent has a zipper door with ties. A tie door with 10" overlap is a $35 option.
  • 10" vinyl sod cloth (at bottom of tent) which helps keep tent clean and acts as an air seal against ground.
  • Steel stakes/spikes.
  • "Ridgepole Sock with drawstring" that easily allows for use of wooden ridge pole on all hunter cabin tents.
  • "Ridgepole Socks" normally cost an additional $25 - $50 on most tents.
  • "Ridgepole Sock" folds into interior of tent when not in use.
  • Reinforced corners with extra stitching and canvas.
  • Grommets on each end of tent ridge, 2 1/2" from ends for using Hunter Frame
  • Grommets installed with a 10 ton kick press to ensure tightness.
  • Grommets reinforced with nylon webbing sewn between double layer of canvas at each grommet location for increased durability.
  • Canvas Camping Tent walls are cut at 5', finished wall size is 4 '8". I'm 6' and 4'8"' walls work fine because cots, stoves, and tables are near walls and consequently a person doesn't walk near the 4'8" walls.
  • 5' finished walls are 10% extra
  • 6' finished walls are 20% extra. .
  • Finish size of tent will be plus or minus 3-6".
  • 12oz canvas is available on hunter canvas camping tents. Add 12% to the cost of 10 oz tent.
  • Shipping costs are for lower 48 states only due to higher shipping costs elsewhere.
