- 10.1 oz Marine Treated Army Duck (water, mildew treated): Civil
War tent 10.10oz. Army Duck is a premium cotton fabric that is more
tightly woven than the single filled variety, creating excellent strength
and durability in a lighter weight base fabric. Shrinkage is greatly reduced
with this fabric. Water and mildew treatment added to create a truly top
quality, dry finish, water repellent tent fabric.
- 10.10oz. Flame Retardant & Marine Treated Army Duck (water, mildew & fire
treated): Canvas tents treated 10.10oz. per square yard fabric is offered
for its flame retardant qualities, meeting the flammability standards of
CPAI~84, an industry wide standard. Flame retardant fabric is one of the
most asked for features on tents. In fact, flame retardant canvas tents
are required in California, Minnestota, Michigan, Louisiana, Massachusetts,
New Jersey, New York and Canada. Treated 10.10oz. fits that bill. In addition
to being flame retardant, it has been treated for water and mildew resistance.
This fabric makes an excellent choice where a durable, economic and flame
retardant material is important.
- Polaris: Canvas period tent fabric made of a polyester/cotton blend.
This fabric is very UV resistant, water repellent, mildew and flame resistant.
This fabric is recommended for camps that are set up for an extended period
of time.
Civil War canvas tents sizes are cut size: Cut size refers to the
size that the fabric would be before it is sewn. When sewn together, the seams
and hems reduce the actual finished size of the product. It is not uncommon
in canvas history tents for the finished dimensions to be 3-6" less than
the cut dimensions. It is a long standing custom among tent makers to list
the cut size. So remember civil war tent finished
sizes will be smaller than their listed sizes.

its products to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period
